Gregory Scott Newsome
Gregory is the Founder of Casa Vicaris S.A.S., an investment and business advisory firm based in Pereira, Colombia. He focuses on helping entrepreneurs and small businesses develop and grow their companies.
Gregory has spent over three decades building a career in finance and business strategy across the United States, Europe, and Asia, spanning 20+ countries and 30+ industries. He graduated from James Madison University in the university's first Financial Engineering class, then built a career trading and advising on global trading exchanges. In Sri Lanka, he introduced electronic stock trading to the Colombo Stock Exchange. He then facilitated the acquisition of a publicly listed company and restructured it into an investment holding company, bringing in over $60 million in direct foreign investment. He then shifted his focus to helping numerous startups and small businesses in Sri Lanka, leaving behind a more capable next generation of business leaders.
Today, Gregory brings this global experience and business network to Colombia. Through Casa Vicaris, he works as a hands-on advisor and fractional executive for founders and business owners. His goal is to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pereira that serves as a foundation for the next generation of Colombian entrepreneurs.
